Although it is not required to enter our competition, we recommend you register your work with a copyright service, such as the U.S. Copyright Office or the Writer's Guild of America (WGA West | WGA East). Alternatively, clickandcopyright.com will register your work for you.

 WHAT KIND OF EXPOSURE WILL THE WINNERS RECEIVE?
On July 2009, Script Pimp will announce the Grand Prize Winners of the TV competition at the 2009 Script Pimp Awards ceremony at Writers Boot Camp in Santa Monica, CA. This private engagement will gather scores of film industry professionals including representatives from selected companies that have already requested the winners.

 TV CONTEST ACCEPTED SUBMISSIONS
For the spec category: submit a script based on the characters of a television show. The script can be a half hour sitcom or a one-hour drama or dramedy.
For the pilot category: submit an original pilot script with a character breakdown (optional). The script can be a half-hour sitcom or a one-hour drama or dramedy.
For the reality category: submit a concept summary of your original idea for a reality show. Please do not include artwork unless it is pertinent to the project.

Scripts with more than one writer, or adaptations from an already-existing story, are welcome to submit.
Writers may submit multiple entries in the same or different formats (example: two reality proposals and a TV script, one in each category, etc.).
Entrants who have earned $5,000 or more for writing, directing, or producing TV or film projects are not eligible.
